The department of sociology was established in 2017 and was affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The main motive of the department is to give students a more wider help perspective of the subjects. The study of sociology helps to socialize the students of the area in a better way. Students are introducing fundamentals of sociology to the beginners of the subject the basic understanding about sociology as a discipline study of various terms, concepts and processes will help students in formulating is sociological viewpoint. It helps students to understand social relatives and also equipes them to utilize their knowledge in various theoretical and practical exercises. The purpose of this course is to prepare the students to understand hierarchical structure of groups in various societies and help them to understand the social mobility. A bachelor degree in sociology provides you with the flexibility to focus on special area of interest and internships are available to add to your interests in a variety of settings.
