About the Department
The Undergraduate Department of Mathematics established in the year 1995 with few students and only two faculty members. Since the department has come a long way. Being one of the oldest Department of college, this Department serving the society for more than three decades. ...
In the starting year of establishment, by being the first college for women in our area which introduced Mathematics as a subject, we faced many difficulties. To overcome these difficulties, we done door to door convincing, newspaper advertisements. In 2007, department of mathematics grown in additional seats of B.Sc (N.M) with 80 seats. In 2013-14 with 250 students of B.A/B.Sc.(N.M) mathematics club came in existence and is still operating. From modest beginning to dazzling success, today the department offers courses leading to degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Computer Applications and Bachelor of commerce.
