About the Department
The Department of Economics is one of the oldest Departments of this college. The department has been an integral part of the college since its inception in 1992. For the last 31 years, Economics courses offered at Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College for Women combines' theoretical and practical knowledge that one can apply while approaching complex, real-world issues like the developmental issues, reducing poverty, providing direction to business and environmental conservation etc. ...
The department has been striving hard to provide an intellectual, stimulating and nurturing environment for better professional growth of the students. It has always been actively engaged in imparting quality and value-based education and makes an effort to impart analytical, managerial and administrative skills amongst its students.
