Semester 1 | Admission is open to a student who has Passed Senior Secondary Examination or any equivalent subjects or is placed under compartment in one subject only of Senior Secondary Examination, provided he/she gets 33% marks in the aggregate, including the marks obtained in the compartment subject, provided the candidate obtains at least 20% marks in the subject of compartment in theory and practical combined. Mathematics can be taken by a student who has passed it at the 10+2 level or has been placed under compartment. She shall have to clear it in the supplementary examination, failing which her admission shall stand cancelled. |

Guidelines for continuous internal assessment (10%) for regular students of Under-Graduate courses (semester system):
Criteria for Internal Assessment:(i) Class test = 5%
(ii) Academic Activities = 3% (Seminar, Project, Assignment)
(iii) Attendance = 2%
For private candidates, who have not been assessed earlier for internal assessment, the marks secured by them in theory paper will be proportionately be increased to maximum marks of the paper in lieu of internal assessment.
